Judy K. Anderson
Judy K. Anderson, Project Director for Alexander Haas, has been fundraising in the Atlanta nonprofit community for more than 30 years. She came to Alexander Haas in 2002 where she helped guide the highly-successful High Museum of Art capital campaign. She is the firm’s most senior Project Director with expertise in campaigns and assessments as well as development staff training. She has worked locally on campaigns and with development programs for Atlanta Humane Society, Emory University School of Law, First Presbyterian Church Atlanta, The Fox Theater, the Georgia Aquarium, Historic Westville, the National Infantry Foundation, Woodward Academy and WonderRoot, among others.
With Alexander Haas’s Museum Services team, Judy has worked on with the Adirondack Experience, Columbia Museum of Art, Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens, Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, HistoryColorado, Reynolda House Museum of American Art, Memorial Art Gallery at University of Rochester, Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego and Taubman Museum of Art. She also works with our Higher Education, Faith-based, Independent Schools and Human Services clients.
Judy was the Marketing and Development Director for the Center for Puppetry Arts when she worked on her first capital campaign with counsel from Alexander Haas, and was thrilled to receive fundraising tutelage from the legendary Be Haas. After 10 years at the Center, she moved to Alliance Theatre Company where she served as Assistant Director of Development and broadened her development responsibilities. Significant highlights of her nine years with the theatre include writing a $1 million challenge grant awarded by National Endowment for the Arts and the award of a $1 million grant from the Lila Wallace-Reader’s Digest Fund. Before joining Alexander Haas, Judy worked steadily with small arts groups to assist with planning events, sponsorships, annual memberships and grant writing.
Judy is a member of the Atlanta Chapter of Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and has volunteered for National Philanthropy Day and served on the education and member services committee. She also has served on the Board of Directors for AFP. She is a former Area Director for Toastmasters District 44 and has been a member of the President’s Club Toastmasters in Marietta, GA for 9 years. Other volunteer interests include True Colors Theatre Company and Atlanta Celebrates Photography.
