Alexander Haas Teaches Art of Fundraising at CASE District III Annual Conference

Fifteen hundred higher education professionals gathered this week to learn about trends and best practices at the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District III Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Alexander Haas was the presenting sponsor for the conference and among the experts presenting were two partners from Alexander Haas, who covered two essential fundraising topics: how to ask donors for contributions and what motivates them to give.

Arthur Criscillis, Managing Partner at Alexander Haas, spoke to a standing room only crowd at a breakout session entitled, “The Art of the Ask”. The two-part session addressed the key elements of working with individual prospects, from getting the first appointment, developing the strategy and soliciting the gift, to handling objections and closing.

Criscillis recently led a team from Alexander Haas in providing counsel for Auburn University’s Because This is Auburn $1 billion campaign. With his strategic counsel the campaign goal was reached 16 months ahead of schedule.
